Background
Add a new key for a YAMAHA NMAX motorcycle.
Preparation
A new key, MS80, M001A, P001 kit, P002 adapter, M054.
Tips
Getting a pincode before adding a key is needed. Please keep MS80 in charging and communication in the whole process. It needs to switch key modes(working/disable) while key programming. Please read switching key modes help data files in YAMAHA NMAX menu before your operation.
Solutions
Using OBDSTAR MS80 to operate on【Add a Key】.
Details Steps:
①Connect MS80 to Motorcycle, enter into【MOTO IMMO】 ;
②Click【All】 , input letters such“YA” in search bar, click【YAMAHA】 ;
Tips: by searching keywords, find out related models quickly.
③Click the newest YAMAHA edition；
④Click【NMAX】 ;
⑤Click【PROXIMITY】 ;
⑥Click【Read Pincode】 ;
⑦Connect the wires and equipment according to the wiring diagram, click【Enter】 ;
Tips: can click【Operation Instruction】 to check wiring diagram in details.
⑧Remember or take note the pincode, click【Enter】 ;
⑨Unplug P001 and disconnect the 12V power supply for 10 seconds before connecting, click【Enter】 ;
⑩Click【Add a Key】 ;
Tips: can click【Switch Key Mode】 to check how to switch key mode in manual.
⑪Connect the wires and equipment according to the wiring diagram, click【Enter】 ;
Tips: can click【Operation Instruction】 to check wiring diagram in details.
⑫Please switch the new key to be programmed to the working mode and the other keys into the disable mode, click【Enter】 ;
⑬Input 6-digit pincode, click【Enter】 ;
⑭Click【Enter】 ;
⑮Please press the new key button in 10 seconds, click【Enter】 ;
⑯Program successfully.
