Model information:

2021 Toyota Camry

Function description:

Learning and operating instructions for replacing tire pressure sensors.

Using tools:

CRT 511S (This operation takes CRT 511S as an example, and specific operation methods for other tire pressure equipment of LAUNCH can refer to this method)

Sensor OE number:

(Pacific) 4260748020

Device version information:

V1.23 and later version

Fault description:

Four tire pressure display are abnormal- and the tire pressure light is on (the instrument panel indicates that the tire pressure is being calibrated, please wait), and the road test has no effect, as shown in the following figure;

Procedure:

1. Select LAUNCH[CRT501], select the [Tire Pressure System] function, and select the corresponding menu based on the information on the vehicle nameplate: Toyota→Camry→2016/01-2022/12(433MHZ[C215])Enter the feature list. Select the [Check Sensor] function to activate the four tire pressure sensors of the original vehicle, but it was found that the four sensors could not be activated (Activation failure indicates sensor damage and needs to be replaced ).

2. Go back to the previous level and select the [Program Sensor] function, then select [Automatic Creation] to program four LAUNCH LTR Sensors.

( Note: You can also choose to [Manual Creation] and input the original vehicle sensor ID or [Copy ID by OBD] sensor ID. The sensor programmed using this method does not require [Relearn] and can be directly installed and used for a road test.)

3.Install the programmed sensor into the vehicle to replace the damaged tire pressure sensor, as shown in the following figure.

4.Return to the previous level and click the [Check Sensor] function again to activate the four replaced tire pressure sensors. (When the device prompts whether to save the activated data, choose to save, otherwise all sensors need to be reactivated.) The results are shown in the following figure;

5.Go back to the previous level and select the [Relearn] function. Follow the operation prompts and the learning is successful, as shown in the following figure. (Note: OBD learning involves writing the sensor ID and location of the activation interface into the vehicle's tire pressure computer.)

6.After the sensor is successfully learned, click the [OK] button to read the ECU ID and determine if the learning is successful. (Note: If the ID position is correct, the font color will be black. If the position is incorrect, the font will be red.)

7. Select the [TPMS OBDII] function on the function selection page, and then select the [Read DTCs] function, as shown in the figure (If there is a fault code, it is necessary to perform the [Clear DTCs] function).

8.The tire pressure sensor was successfully replaced, and the instrument tire pressure display was normal. The fault light went out. The pressure of all four tires was increased to 250kpa, and a 15 minute road test was conducted at a speed of 30km/h or above. There were no abnormal tire pressure alarms, and the problem was resolved.
